The founder of the Knights of Columbus, Father Michael J. McGivney was a central figure in the growth of Catholicism in America, and he remains a model today. His example of charity, evangelization and empowerment of the laity continues to bear fruit and guide Knights of Columbus around the world.
The Knights of Columbus stand on the four principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. As a brotherhood within the Catholic Church, these principles give our members the foundation for supporting our communities, working together, and strengthening and encouraging one another.
The Knights of Columbus is open to all men practicing the Catholic faith. Membership in the Knights of Columbus connects a man with a local council, with a broader region jurisdiction, and with an international brotherhood. Membership allows you to take part in the good work that the Knights are doing in your area.
